The view from the covered balcony is incredible and looks out over Lake Erie with 5 other islands in view. Middle Bass is a beautiful less-traveled island but still has a lot to do. There is a coffee shop at the state park called the Island Grind with a new speak-easy in the back named Prohibition. Watering holes include St. Hazards (with pool), the General Store (restaurant and store, try their famed pizza!), and JF Walleyes (with wading pool). Live music can be found throughout the summer. You can hop on the Sonny-S ferry for a day of fun and adventure at neighboring Put-in-Bay, then escape from the noise back to quite Middle Bass. The ODNR has invested over 20 Million dollars into the island over the last 20 years and has renovated the old Lonz Winery into an open air pavilion and also the Lonz mansion into a museum with rentable rooms upstairs. There is a primitive 10-site campground near the Miller Ferry dock. The new marina basin has fuel, pump out, a ramp, and docks for seasonal and transient boaters and it is also home to MBI Yacht Club. The island also has a very nice air strip. Hazards condos are seasonal. You can utilize this condo as your own vacation spot and also rent it out on your off weekends to help cover costs if desired. Or keep it just for yourself. This is quite a place to escape to. Beach rights included.
